Chapter 3: Hi! My Name Is....

Angelica strutted her stuff all the way to her dorm, feeling guys stare at her long legs that she loved to show. When she opened her dorm door, she saw two women arguing.

"Trick, you haven't been with no Tyson Beckford..Get the hell outta here with that!"

"Whatever. I've been here for 3 years...your just getting her Christina! I'm not one to mess with."

Angelica cleared her throat. Both women glanced up at her.

"Uh yea hi! I'm Angelica..but most call me Angel because I'm a gift from God."

"Hi, I'm Christina. I'm just starting out here. Nice to meet you."

"Hi..name's Jay..and umm..how could you be a gift from GOD..when i'm the greatest thing that's walked this earth."

Angel frowned. "I don't have time for childish games."

"Childish? Last time I checked I was your elder."

Angel rolled her eyes, and walked to the door that had her name on it. She thought to herself. "I might end up gettin kicked out of this school already."

Down the hall on the fifth floor, Koca was on her laptop already starting an assignment that hadn't been assigned yet. She had a friend who had gave her a heads up on what the teacher expected..and she aimed to impress. She was so deep in her work that she didn't hear Elizabeth come in.

"Hey Koca."

Koca glanced up. "Oh hey gurl..so we rooming again together huh?"

"Yea..who's with us?"

"Some gurl named Taj..heard she was kinda eccentric."

"Is being eccentric a bad thing?" Koca and Elizabeth both glanced at the door. They stared at Taj. Taj wore high stripped socks with black pumps..a mini black skirt..and a sports bra covered with a button downed jacket. She had a nose ring, eyebrow ring, and about 4 piercings in each ear. Elizabeth spoke first.

"Uh no..no problem at all. I'm Elizabeth..that's Koca."

Koca gave a nod and went back to her paper.

"I'm Taj...since someone has a problem with eccentric people..u keep your space and i'll keep mine."

Koca laughed. "Little girl please just go to your room. People have work to do."

Taj growled. "Excuse me?"

"Umm did she jus growl?" Elizabeh asked.

Koca glanced up. "You heard me."

"Umm no one else heard that unhuman like sound she just made?" Elizabeth asked again.

"Just because you got ur fancy little computer and fancy clothes don't mean shyt."

"Smh..all i know is i'm not staying around no one with them sound like animals and shyt. Eff that" Elizabeth quickly walked to her room.

Koca looked Taj up and down..and just shrugged. She had no time for this.

"You better watch your back." Taj threatened before going to her room.

Down on the first floor, Krystal was telling Monic about an incident that happened earlier.

"Girl, I got my class schedule right, and the man said 'Thank you Crystal' ..now you know how that pissed me off. So I told him politely. 'Sir my name is with a K not a C.' Then his ass had the nerve to just stare at me..like there wasn't that big a difference."

Monic laughed. "How could you tell he said it with a C and not a K?"

"The way he pronounced it..the Ka sound wasn't there...i heard the Ca sound..so then he said 'well miss either way your name sounds the same' So you know i was pissed right. So I said 'Don't insult my name mister. C is for the regulars..K is for the stylin and profylin' and then i snapped my fingers in a Z motion in the po lil tink tinks face. And walked my ass outta there. Whew! People get on my nerves."

Monic just shook her head, as Rihnay walked in. "Krystal are you going off about your name again."

Krystal glanced at Monic "she how the K just rolls off the tongue when it's pronounced right?" Then she turned her attention on Rihnay. "Girl people try to act like they don't know! I mean HELLO i've been going here for three years..what's the problem?"

Rihnay laughed..and gave Krystal a hug. " I missed your silly ass!!"

Krystal just laughed.

Right above them Brittneebee as most called her was thinking about her beautiful summer she had finally got to spend her night with the man of her dreams and it was wonderful!!

"Gurl what you thinking about!!" Samiyyah yelled while carrying 5 bags at the same time. Britt snapped out of it.

"Uh nothing..let me help you."

Britt went over to grab some bags from Samiyyah.

"Whew girl thank you! The last time my back hurt this much I was ridin on top of-"

"Whoa!! Whoa!! keep that shyt to yourself." said vivie as she strolled through the door. "Innocent people are in the mist."

"As they are." Ariel said as she followed in after Vivie.

Samiyyah frowned. "Uh Ariel has your voice always been that deep? I mean I feel like I should just give you all my money and run."

Ariel yelled, "Shut up! My voice ain't that deep! Right Vivie?"

Vivie smiled and continued to her room.


Down at the end of the hall Sheena was doing her hair.

"Dawn!!"

"Yes Sheena!"

"Can you bring me the comb off the night table in my room?!"

Dawn came into the bathroom, with the comb 10 seconds later.

"Thanks."

"Anytime Sheena. So you think drama is gonna be cut down a lot this year?"

Sheena gave her a girl-please-look in the mirror. "Not with these hoodlums..they don't even know how to act like ladies anymore. All the bickering and fighting..deceit and betrayal."

Dawn nodded. "And the men aren't any better. Constantly hopping from bed to bed..i'm glad our mothers taught us how to act right..and stay drama free. Speaking of drama-free did you hear that Troy is teaching a class that is mandatory of all students this semester...it's called "Life Is What You Make It""

"What! Wow...he's gonna get a handful this semester than."

Dawn smiled. "Yep! He sure is."
