Chapter 54: Dead or Alive?

"How long are they gonna have us in the damn room?!" Natasha said, as she got up to start pacing the room. They were in an interrogation room that only contained a table, and chairs. It had a one-sided window as well. They couldn't see out, but they could see in.

"We've been in here for 8 hours, we don't have nothing to tell them!" Tiffany said.

"No matter what they ask us, they aren't getting no type of information out of us." Krys said, as the main man of the team from earlier came in.

"Ya'll comfortable?" He asked.

Natasha damn near growled. "Look, Asshole! You can't keep us here!"

The man turned to Natasha, with a smirk playing at his lips. "Careful, Natasha. I could get shit on you that will have you in jail for years, keep fucking with me."

Natasha's hands curled into small fist. "I haven't done anything legal."

"Maybe not, but I can make things appear. Oh yes, and my name is James O'Connor."

"Mr. O'Connor?"

James turned around to the small voice that he heard. "Yes?"

"Where is........Jo...Joniesha?" Jemi asked.

"She's in a special laboratory, we need to find out-"

Before anyone could acknowledge what was happening, Vann had ran across the room. He grabbed James by the neck, and slammed him into the wall. "She is not an experiment you can just disect. First, you kill my girl, now she can't rest in PEACE!"

"Vann." Monic called out. "Don't."

James started laughing. "You got 3 seconds to get your hands off of me, or you're dead."

Vann narrowed his eyes, as his nostrils flared. Then he backed away, but not before punching the glass right beside James's head. Vann walked away, as everyone stared at James.

"As I said we have all day. Since Troy died from his many wounds that caused him to bleed to death, we need information from ya'll."

"I thought you knew everything." Trey said.

James smiled. "Not everything...but damn close. So anyone wanna talk?"

No one spoke,everyone stared at everything but James. James nodded, "Very well."

As James made his to the door, three officers came running in.

"James, we have a problem." One of the officers said.

James sighed. "What?"

"Ummm...Joniesha...she's gone."

Everyone in the room head popped up. James frowned. "Gone...like ya'll misplaced her?"

"No...like she's alive."

"How is that-"

All of sudden screams rung out through the building, as the alarm was set off. The room started to blink in red lights.

"Fuck." James said, as he took off. He had totally forgot about the others.

"She's alive?" Tiffany whispered.

"Sounds that way." Natasha whispered back.

"We don't know what state of mind she is in, so we need to get out of here." Jordy said.

Everyone ran towards the door, men in black were running everywhere loaded with guns.

"We are not armed. What if we need a gun." Tiffany said.

Natasha smiled, and caught a man by the next as he passed. She twisted his neck, and his dead body slumped to the ground. Natasha kneeled down, and stripped the man of the three guns he had on him. She tossed one to Tiff, then on to Vann, and kept one for herself.

"Problem solved." Natasha said. Small smiles dispersed through the group, as they all made there way to the closest exit. They followed all the signs leading straight to their exit. As they pushed the door open, they all sighed from the fresh breeze that hit their faces.

"Wow that was easy." Miles said. "We didn't have to shoot anyone."

"Thank GOD." John said. "So where are we?"

"New York." Tiffany said.

Everyone glanced around them, and saw huge buildings off into the distance.

"Well let's find a car, so we can find a hotel." Brandon H. said.

Natasha pointed at a row of black Navigators. "Anyone know how to break in and hotwire a car?"

Frank smiled, and walked over to one of the Navigators, and in less than 5 minutes he had two trucks open and running. They split into the two cars, and sped off.

2 hours later, they had settled into two suites that were connected at the The Plaza.

"I'm just glad she's alive." Tiffany was saying to Natasha. They were sitting in the living room in pajamas.

"But the liquid we shot into her, did it work? Is she herself, or is she still a monster?" Natasha asked.

"I don't know. She'll find us when she wants to though." Tiffany said.

Tiffany looked up as Keon walked into the room. "Come on, you need some rest."

Tiffany sighed, and stood up.

"Oh, you have a keeper now, huh?" Natasha asked, with a smile.

Tiffany rolled her eyes, and smiled as she saw something behind Natasha.

Tash turned around, and Brandon H. was standing there. "Come on, tough bitch, bring your ass."

Tiffany laughed, as Keon took her hand. Natasha smiled. "Boy, you better stop talking to me like that, you know I like that kinky shit."

Brandon H. laughed, as did Tiffany and Keon.

"Nite Tash." Tiffany and Keon said.

"Nite." Natasha said, making her way over to Brandon H.

"Tired?" Brandon H. asked.

Natasha nodded.

"Good." Brandon took her hand, and lead her to his room.

Vann laid on top of the blankets in the dark, staring at the ceiling. He sighed, his heart was so heavy. His girl was alive, but was she in her right state of mind. Will he ever have his girl back? Vann sighed again. He frowned as he heard something move, but it was very light. He sat up, and glanced at the open window. Had he opened that? He couldn't remember. He walked over to close it, when he turned around, he froze.

Joniesha was leaning against the wall across the room. She had on all white, they must have changed her into them hospital looking clothes at the station. Joniesha had her eyes closed, but her nostrils were flared open wide. Vann didn't know what to do. So he just stared at her.

"Are you scared?" Joniesha whispered, her voice was back to normal. Vann was still skeptical though.

"No." Vann said.

"You're lying, I can smell the fear on you."

"Ok, maybe a little bit."

Joniesha smiled, and moved away from the wall. She made a beeline for Vann, her eyes still closed. When she stood directly in front of Vann, she inhaled.

"Good, it's good that you're scared."

Vann closed his eyes, as Joniesha's cool breath brushed his face. He opened his eyes, and asked. "Why?"

"Because, I'm scared too. I think I just rose from the dead or some shit." Joniesha opened her eyes, and they were her normal hazel color. Joniesha laughed,as Vann took her into a bone-crushing hug, and spun her around.

When he sat her back down, he kissed her forehead, then each eyelid, then her cheeks, then he brushed her lips. She smelled of blood, gunpowder, and fire, but he didn't care. He had his girl back.

"Is it really you, Jonie?" Vann asked.

"GOD I hope so..it sucked being inside of a body that you couldn't control." Joniesha said.

Vann sighed, and hugged her again. As he held her, he felt tears in his eyes. Joniesha pulled back. "Don't you start...then you gone get me started."

Vann smiled. "How is this..I mean..How can you..."

Joniesha placed a finger over his lips. "We'll talk tomorrow. I'm exhausted now. We have some plans and decisions to make tomorrow."

Vann nodded, "I know."

He picked Joniesha up, and laid her on the blanket. He turned so they were facing each other. He intertwined their fingers, and smiled. Joniesha gave a weak smile back, and immediately fell asleep.
