Chapter 34: Love vs. Lust

Brittbrat stared at Trey's beautiful body. She swallowed, all of a sudden her throat was very dry.

"You like what you see?" Trey asked.

Brittbrat looked up into Trey's eyes.

"I guess." Brittbrat said.

Trey smiled, and walked toward her. He sat down next to her on the bed, and gently moved her wounded leg to the end of the bed.He then moved her other so she was spread eagle. He gently pushed her down onto the bed, and slide her pants down her legs, and tossed them. When he got ready to reach for her shirt there was a knock on his door.

"Shit." Trey said quietly. When he got ready to move, Brittbrat grabbed onto his arms. Trey glanced into her eyes, smiled, and brought his lips down to hers. Brittbrat immediately latched onto his bottom lip, when the knock came again. Trey sighed, and pulled back, he then noticed Brittbrat had his bottom lip between her teeth.

"Come on Britt, I gotta answer the door." Trey said. Brittbrat frowned, and shook her head.

"Trey come on, we have to do this shit tonight." Miles voice rung through the door.

"Aw shit I forgot about that." Trey said to himsel. Then he yelled to Miles that he'd be right there, and then he tried to move again. Britt still didn't let go. Trey laughed.

"You're being unreasonable."

Brittbrat let go of his lip. "I'm being unreasonable?! You're the one who gets me all hot and bothered, and then rushes off."

Trey smiled, and stood up. Brittbrat saw that he was perfectly aroused as well. Brittbrat leaned back on the bed, and pouted. Trey was putting his clothes back on. When he had slid his shoes on, he went to help Brittbrat put on her pants.

Brittbrat sat, and let him put them on, not saying anything. He lifted her up into his arms. Brittbrat kept her eyes forward, as he carried her into her room. He laid her on her bed, and went to give her a kiss. Brittbrat moved her head, so his lips glazed her cheek.

"Come on don't be that way Britt." Trey said. "I'll make it up to you."

His voice sounded sincere, Brittbrat wasn't finna fall for it, until she made the mistake of looking at his face. He had the full puppy dog eyes thing going on.

"Ugh! fine! Go Trey! What are you doing anyway?"

Trey smiled with triumph. "I can't tell u at the moment..I will soon though." Trey then moved his lips over hers,Britt closed her eyes and sighed. Then he was gone.

Britt laid back on her pillows, and got comfortable, just as Joniesha walked into the room. Tiffany, Sabrina, and Natasha followed after her. Joniesha laid on the bed, and sighed.

"So how was your night?" Tiffany asked.

"Oh it was perfect! I almost forgot how much of a sweetheart Vann is."

"What ya'll do?" Natasha asked.

"Eat..dance...and...um." Joniesha said with a devious smile on her face.

"Ooooooooh ya'll did the nasty?!" Tiffany asked.

"Damn right we did! 3 times!"

"Damn!" Natasha said.

Brittbrat covered her head with her blanket. "Please don't even mention sex to me right now. I hate your ass right now Joniesha. How you get some fire hot chicken wings to eat tonight, and I don't."

Sabrina laughed. "fire hot chicken wings though?"

"Shut up Brina, I ain't in the mood." Brittbrat said.

Natasha laughed. "Bitch don't get testy with everyone else because you didn't get no nookie tonight."

Brittbrat threw the blanket off her head, and sighed. "We were so close too."

Everyone stared at her. "what?! You was gonna give it up to him?? Natasha asked.

"Yea." Brittbrat said.

"As what..a friend with benefits, a girlfriend, or just a one night stand?" Natasha asked, crossing her arms to study Brittbrat.

"I don't know, I just know i've been feinin and why not give it to Trey. We are trying whatever this thing is sizzling between us out."

"He's gonna hurt you." Natasha said.

"He's not in my heart yet for him to hurt me, and I'm being careful. Trust me. I know what I'm doing." Brittbrat said.

"I hope so." Joniesha said. "We wouldn't want to kill him now."

Brittbrat glanced at Joniesha, and knew she was serious.

She straightened her glasses, and went to search recent news. She saw that S.U. had been bombed. All of it was not destroyed though. It will take a year to repair all the damage. Koca sighed. A year without work. She was extremely lost without work to keep her busy. She lived, ate, and breathed her work, it kept her mind where it needed to be. She felt comfortable when she was in her work state.

"You still dressin all prissy, even while you're on an island."

Koca turned and saw Brandon walking towards her. Koca narrowed her eyes. "I don't dress prissy, it's called being conservative. I'm a lady ya know?"

"No doubt about that." Brandon said.

Koca turned her head back towards the computer. She always got unsettled when she was around Brandon. Especially after that day he caught her staring at him.

Brandon sat down next to her. "What you doin?"

Koca sighed. "Mindin my own business, you should try it some time."

Brandon smiled. "Good thing I like feisty women.."

Koca looked over at him. "What do you want Brandon?"

"ok..let me ask you something, if you don't mind me asking."

Koca just raised an eyebrow.

"When's the last time you had fun?"

"Umm..when I had my laptop."

"You watched porn?!"

"No! What the hell! I'm talking about my work. I love doing it. It's fun to me."

Brandon rolled his eyes. "No, not work fun, which is just weird, sorry to say. But real fun, going out to let your hair down without any deadlines."

Koca tried to think of when she wasn't all about her work, her mind traveled back to when she was five years old to when her parents had been alive. They were so full of life, when they died in a 9 car pile up when she was eight, she had been moved to her grandmother's her told her life was a game, it was to be taken seriously. So that's the motto she had lived by.

Brandon watched the emotions flicker across her face. What was she thinking? He didn't know what it was that drew him to Koca. He usually liked easy women who knew what he wanted, and they usually wanted the same thing. So they just got to it, and did the damn thing. He never met a woman like Koca, she was tried so hard to not make friends, to not get close to anyone. Brandon was always up for a challenge, he never backed down until he acheived his mission. Right now that mission included Koca.

"i guess when I was kid, but I grew up quick. Life is too short to waste it having fun, I have a mission in life to complete."

"Wow, who taught you that motto. Life is too short to just be stuck to a laptop and paperwork all day and night. You have to let loose. How bout you meet me tonight around midnight, at the indoor pool?"

Koca frowned. "Why?"

Brandon shrugged. "I guess I just wanna show you a little bit of fun."

"I'm not having sex with you." Koca said crossing her arms.

Brandon put his hands up. "Who mentioned sex? I never said anything about sex."

"You're thinking it though." Koca said, glaring at him, daring him to say he wasn't.

Brandon laughed. "Ok, maybe, but hey it's usually a man's first thought when in the presence of a beautiful woman."

Koca felt herself blush, she cleared her throat. "Well, I'm not-"

"Don't answer now, just think about it. I won't touch you unless you tell me too." Brandon said, and stood up. "I'll be waiting." He said, and then left.

Koca stared at the door long after he left. Oh what to do.

She was on her knees, she was excited because she had just caught a starfish. She rinsed it off in the beach water, and brought it closer to her face.

"Talking to starfish now huh, Nori?"

Nori glanced up, and saw Redd watching her. Nori smiled.

"You know how I do."

"Yes Miss animal lover."

Nori smiled, and put the starfish back in the water, and stood up. She brushed off her knees.

"I got a question." Redd said.

"Ok? What is it?"

"Why do I never see you wear dresses, or show off any cleavage or midriff?"

Nori frowned at him. "Umm..ok...one..i don't like the attention that comes with showing skin. I'm not the one to just throw my ummm..prized possessions out there."]

Redd laughed. "Prized Possessions?"

"Two, I would wear dresses, i just prefer pants, and shorts. They're more comfortable."

Redd nodded. "You believe what your shirt says?"

Nori frowned, at the subject change, and glanced down at her shirt. "Yea. I gave up on love, its overrated."

Redd nodded, when Nori looked back up at Redd. She saw his eyes, was skimming over her body.

"What's under the clothes?" Redd asked.

"What do you mean?"

"You wearing a bathing suit?"

" Of course."

" Can I see?"

"Of course.....not." Nori laughed, as the disappointment showed on Redd's face.

"Come on, now one's around. We're pretty close friends right? I thought you liked me, at least a little."

Nori folded her arms. "I do."

"Well I want a vision for tonight, when I go to sleep. Since you ain't droppin any hints on what level you want us to go to next. This friendship shit is killing me."

Nori sighed. She didn't want anything permanent with Redd, she also didn't want sex..she heard that lead to a pretty strong emotional connection with many women, and yea she didn't want that either. So she did the playful flirting, that was painless enough.

"Fine." Nori unbuttoned her shorts, and pulled them down, and then took off her shirt. The hot pink bathing suit underneath made Redd's mouth water. Nori felt exposed out here with randoms walking around and started to put her clothes back on.

"Wait...5 more seconds." Redd said.

Nori giggled, and froze. Redd made her feel so...well..beautiful. It was a nice feeling. When she had counted to five in her head, she put her clothes back on. Redd smiled at her.

"Thanks."

Nori rolled her eyes. "Yea..anytime."

Redd raised an eyebrow.

"Don't take that literal." Nori said.

"Damn." Redd said.

Nori laughed.

"Wanna get some ice cream or something?" Redd asked.

"Ok." Nori said, as Redd took her hand in his. Nori sighed, what was she gonna do with this dude.
