Chapter 35: Love Is Blind

Natasha was down swimming back and forth in the the indoor pool. She thought of what Brittbrat had told her earlier that morning. Had her heart been for Jordy? No..not really, he had been a good lay though. She had just felt played. Extremely played. Once she faced her true issues with this, she started to feel a little better. She was going to talk to Jordy and Chicki today. As she pulled herself out of the pool, Brandon H. came throught the doors. She watched him walk over to the pool, he pulled his shirt off and dove in. When he popped up, he stared at Natasha, and smiled.

"Leaving?" Brandon H. asked.

"I was." Natasha said.

"Now you aren't?" Brandon asked, with a smile on his face.

"I'm not sure."

Brandon laughed. "Won't you just come join me?"

Natasha shrugged, and dove back into the pool. Brandon swam over to her.

"So, I'm guessing you and Jordy wasn't anything that serious."

"Why you assume that?"

"Because you haven't shot him yet, and you seem to be attracted to me."

Natasha raised an eyebrow. "What makes you think i'm attracted to you?"

Brandon rolled his eyes. "So we're gonna play this game huh?"

Natasha laughed. "Ok...i am attracted to you, but that don't mean I have to act on it."

Brandon shrugged. "You're right." Brandon then sunk back under the water. Natasha watched him swim across the pool, and hop out on the other side.

"But then that wouldn't be you."

Natasha climbed out of the pool as well. "You really think you got me all figured out, huh?"

"Im a detective, I can figure people out pretty quickly. I've been watching you, so I got you down pretty well."

Natasha smiled. "Is that right?"

Brandon smiled back. "Well I just came down here to see you, so if you wanna see me later on tonight. You know which room is mine, come holla at me. But clear it with your friends first. Which i'm sure you were. We trying to slow down the drama around here."

Brandon left with Natasha staring after him, rolled her eyes, then dove back into the pool.

Vivie sat outside on the front porch, on the comfy sofa. Her feet were curled under her, she wore:

She was deep into one of her mystery novels. She read books the most when she wanted to live in someone else's world for a while. She didn't want to think about what was going on in her world. She was so deep into the book, she didn't realize someone was watching her until he stepped into her vision. She glanced up, and her heart leaped.

"Hey." John said.

Vivie closed her book, and stared at John for a moment. They hadn't talked to each other since the whole drama episode went down. She had avoided him like the black plaque,she had actually loved this man. This man that had lied to her from the jump. It hurt even to look at him. She stood up, and started to walk away from him.

John grabbed her arm, Vivie froze with her back to him.

"Can we at least talk.......please?"

Vivie barely heard the question, her heart was beating so loud in her ears. Her body went into its normal frenzy whenever her touched her. She closed her eyes, she hated being so weak for a man. Especially a man who didn't love her as much as she had loved him.

John gave her arm a little tug. Vivie let him pull her along, down to the beach. He kept his hand on her arm, so she wouldn't run. When they reached the beach, he let her arm go. Vivie kept her eyes on the crashing waves. She heard John take a deep breath.

"I don't even know where to start."

Vivie closed her eyes. Why was she here? Did she even want to hear his excuses?

"Well, I'll start with an apology. I'm sorry I lied to you, about everything. Me and Ariel use to be best friends. The love use to be there, until she got pregnant and rushed me into a marriage. I could have taken care of my son, without marriage. I didn't want to be married. When we were married, we got into a fight damn near every 10 minutes over everything. The love just wasn't there..we grew apart..we changed as people. I know it was wrong for me not to talk to her about a divorce in the first place instead of sleeping around on her, but I am young I make mistakes."

Vivie listened to his voice, and let the words sink in, as he continued.

"Diamond was a woman that I meet at a strip club actually. She was a freak, let me tell you. I couldn't get enough of her body."

"John" Vivie whispered. She didn't like hearing about his other women he had messed with.

"Please...just let me finish.The first time I had saw you, I knew there was something different about you. As I got to know you through class, I started to like you more and more. Even though Diamond still took up most of my time. You took up my mind. I couldn't get you out of my mind. I started to lie to get you to help me with Math, which you are horrible at."

Vivie smiled, and turned her head. She hadn't known tears were forming in her eyes, until she blinked, and they rolled down her cheeks.

"You make me feel something even Ariel didn't make me feel from the jump. There is beautiful women everywhere on this island, and I don't think of even touching one."

Vivie shook her head, and glanced up at the sky trying to stop herself from crying.

"You're all I want, Vivie. You're all I see." John grabbed Vivie's chin so he could look into her eyes, John gently brushed her tears away. "I love you."

"No." Vivie whispered. John raised an eyebrow. "NO!" Vivie yelled, and yanked her chin out of his grip, and turned to start pacing.

She started to talk to herself. "Don't be stupid, Vivie. Don't let your heart get you into trouble again, what he speaks is words you want to hear yes. But he knows that as well. He's lied before, what is keeping him from lying now."

John just watched her, and listened. He sighed. "I'm not lying, Vivie."

Vivie stopped walking, and turned to look at him. "I don't know that. I will never know that. You were so easy to believe from the beginning, I don't know what to believe now."

John glanced at the waves, she was right. He had lied to her every day he had been with her. Why should she believe him? John had to think of someway to convince her, that he did love her. That she was his soulmate.

"Ok." John said, more to himself.

"Huh?" Vivie said. John walked over to her, and planted a kiss on her forehead, then he turned to continue to walk down the beach. He needed to think fast, before he lost her forever.

Franee and Domi were down in the gym area of the house. Domi was running on the treadmill wearing:

Domi glanced over at Franee. "Yea?"

"Do you think anything is going on with Krys and Frank?"

"I don't know. Why?"

"I mean, because he is a cute guy. We had sort of a connection in Italy right?"

Domi slowed her treadmill down to a walk. "I mean you can never tell with men like him. They flirt with everyone."

Franee nodded. "Yea, true. I think I have a better chance anyway. We have more in common, then him and Krys."

Domi nodded. "Well, if you want to be with him. Do something about it. You achieve nothing just sitting here. Don't speak about it...Be about it, is my motto."

Franee nodded.

Krys had been just getting ready to go into the indoor gym, when she had heard her name. She smiled to herself. "Poor lil tink tink is gonna be heartbroken, when Frank denies her." Krys shrugs. "Oh well. Not my problem."

Krys said to herself, as she put her hands in her pockets, and proceeded into the gym area.
